Jeremy joined Horton’s Kids in April 2007 as the organization’s first Business Manager. His primary responsibility is to ensure the fiscal well-being of the organization. In conjunction to his working relationship with Horton’s Kids, Jeremy also functions as the Finance Manager of the District of Columbia Public Charter School Board where he manages the board's finances, provides financial oversight to the District's 50+ charter schools, and liaises with city officials on charter school funding matters.
Jeremy is also Co-Founder and Principal Strategist of Gemini Investment Strategists, LLC, a Limited Liability Company established to provide financial and investment management services to individuals and institutions in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. He also serves on the Board of Directors for the Educated Consumer Project, a local non-profit organization established to cultivate partnerships with public high schools in the District that are interested in providing practical knowledge of consumer finance to their students. Prior to his current organizational roles, Jeremy spent five years functioning as a Project Manager in the Power Systems Division of Florida Power and Light, Inc.
Jeremy holds an MBA from University of Virginia, Darden Graduate School of Business as well as a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Florida A&M University. Jeremy is also a candidate for the Certified Financial Planner/Chartered Financial Consultant designations.
