Volunteering

Horton’s Kids offers many different opportunities for volunteers to work directly with the children we serve or to help with the behind the scenes aspects of our programs. No matter what your schedule or expertise is, there are a variety of ways that you can truly make a difference in the life of a child. No prior experience is necessary, but all volunteers must undergo a standard FBI background check for the protection of the children.

Volunteer Opportunities

With Horton’s Kids’ flexible schedule, you can participate in one or more of our programs. Learn more about how you can:

• Tutor a child (Mondays, Tuesdays, and/or Wednesdays)
• Help out on our field trips (Sundays)
• Plan special events and holiday parties for the children
• Make lunches for the children (Sundays)
• Provide technology support
• Assist with fundraising (event planning, grant writing, etc.)
