Small Group Leaders for Rising STARs Program

Horton's Kids Rising STARs Wednesday Program for 5th-8th graders teaches students skills such as leadership, communication, and teamwork, while also providing small group tutoring, educational workshops, and extracurricular activities.

Small Group Leaders will:

• Be assigned to a group of 3-5 children in the same grade or at the same ability level.
• Lead small group tutoring sessions to help students complete their homework and practice academic skills.
• Facilitate group activities within their small groups as planned by the workshop leader.

Small Group Leaders are required to:

• Regularly attend weekly sessions
• Attend tutor trainings
• Record and communicate information on your student's progress

The Rising STARs Wednesday Program will take place at St. Coletta School of Greater Washington across from RFK stadium from 6:30 - 8:30pm on Wednesday evenings throughout the school year.
