Eddie oversees after school programs such as homework help and tutoring, as well as weekend enrichment, as a part of the Elementary Programs team. He also works closely to maintain positive relationships with students’ families and schools.
Originally from the DC area, Eddie graduated from James Madison University with a BS in Geographic Sciences and minor in Spanish. He has extensive experience working with marginalized populations including the homeless, immigrants, and refugee families. After graduation, he took a job as a primary school teacher in Spain, continuing his career in ESL education.
Upon returning to the US, he attended George Mason University, completing his MA in Global Affairs. He has since worked at education nonprofits in the area and began work at Horton’s Kids in 2017. He currently lives in the NoMa neighborhood of the District.
