Home Runs for Horton’s Kids is a family-friendly night at Nationals Park that has become one of the most important sources of fundraising for the organization. In the event’s 15 year history, $6 million has been raised. The event provides the opportunity for business leaders, community change makers, families, and members of Congress to have exclusive access to Nationals Park while celebrating the impact of Horton’s Kids’ comprehensive programs in two of DC’s most under-invested communities.

Event admission for all guests includes batting practice in the Nationals batting cages, a fast pitch competition in the bullpen, grab-and-go stadium fare snacks and drinks and much more!

Brad Sickels
Director of Communications & Events

Brad manages Horton’s Kids’ external communications channels and oversees the organization’s public and media relations. He also directs the planning and execution of Horton’s Kids donor stewardship & cultivation events including the organization’s flagship fundraisers Home Runs for Horton’s Kids and Give Thanks & Give Back. Brad brings over 15 years of event production, strategic communications, and graphic design experience to Horton’s Kids.

Brad has worked for a variety of DC-based nonprofits including The Human Rights Campaign, The American Psychological Association, and The National Student Leadership Conference. He holds a B.A. in Sociology from SUNY Geneseo.
